Course 10: Augment Your Scenario Discussion
Make 1 discussion post to continue.
Make 1 discussion post to continue. Let's revisit the peer review process that you used to design your scenario for this program. There is a good reason for us to help you to limber up again. You will submit the final iteration of your simulation-based learning experience in Course 12. It is our mission at this point to help you begin this process by infusing both Course 10 and Course 11 with some pre-flight peer reviews. Part 1: Augment Your Current Plan - For your initial post: Using what you have learned in this course so far, revisit your simulation plan and construct an addendum that includes the use of standardized patient(s). Map out the design team that will work on this integration and the assistance you hope to receive from each member: Identify the role(s) for which you will use standardized patients Describe your recruitment process. Describe your training/coaching process. Part 2: Help Your Peers - At this juncture, read your peers & posts. Select a couple for which you can offer some guidance. Look at their scenarios from all points of view of the design team. Offer the following feedback: Describe the advantages that you can see for applying standardized patient methodology. What standardized patient training should be included? What training should be added if the standardized patient is to participate in assessing participants.

Course 10 Assignment
Graded as Complete/Incomplete | Due Date: 10/31/2024 at 7:59 PM (EDT)
Graded as Complete/Incomplete | Due Date: 10/31/2024 at 7:59 PM (EDT) To complete each course, you are required to provide a reflective journal entry. Each entry should contain a minimum of 500 words. The document submitted should be a cumulative document with headings and dates of the course journals you are submitting. Reflection should consider this process: • Description (keep this fairly short) • Interpretation or analysis (this should be the main body of your work) • Outcome or application (ensure you draw clear application to your future practice). There are journal prompts for most course journals. These are intended to focus you on the materials that were covered in that module. Please note that some journals will have a Part I and a Part II because of the varied materials that are presented in that course. By the end of the ISEP program, your reflective journal will demonstrate your individual learning and progress as a simulation educator/practitioner.
