Course 1 - Discussion 1: Introductions
Make 1 discussion post to continue.
Make 1 discussion post to continue. Please introduce yourself to your fellow cohort members and the facilitators. What is your current role? How did you become involved with simulation-based education? Current involvement with simulation-based education? The simulation education you have received thus far? What you hope to achieve from completing this course and list two measurable goals. When you have submitted your introduction, step back and respond to as many of your peers as you can. Work together to find out the following about everyone: Where they are located Where they received or are receiving their degree Have they experienced simulation while earning their degree His/Her/Their reaction to those experiences Any special interests Anything else that each of you feel comfortable sharing
Course 1 - Discussion 2: Collaborative Learning
Make 1 discussion post to continue.
Make 1 discussion post to continue. Locate and read an article about collaborative learning. Complete a short appraisal (300 words or less) of the article as a resource for producing collaborative learning in simulation-based education. You may use any accepted referencing style with which you are most familiar (e.g. APA, Harvard, Vancouver, etc.). Once completed, please upload and attach the appraisal of the article as a Discussion post. Once you have supplied your appraisal, reply to at least two of your peers' posts. Respond to their appraisals by exploring the following: How do the tools explored facilitate healthcare improvements? How do/could they improve interactions between industry and academia? Whom and how do they identify the beneficiaries of their work? What is your assessment of the article?

Graded as Complete/Incomplete | Due Date: 09/01/2025 at 12:59 AM (EDT) Standard Journal Instructions: To complete each course, you are required to provide a reflective journal entry. Each entry should contain a minimum of 500 words. The document submitted should be a cumulative document with headings and dates of the course journals you are submitting. Reflection should consider this process: • Description (keep this fairly short) • Interpretation or analysis (this should be the main body of your work) • Outcome or application (ensure you draw clear application to your future practice). There are journal prompts for most course journals. These are intended to focus you on the materials that were covered in that module. Please note that some journals will have a Part I and a Part II because of the varied materials that are presented in that course. By the end of the ISEP program, your reflective journal will demonstrate your individual learning and progress as a simulation educator/practitioner.
